Our Story

How it all started...

Crossover Bible Church launched on Easter 2006 with the hope of being a church that would make a tangible impact in north Tulsa through the power of the gospel. Pastors Marshall Gordon and Philip Abode teamed up to start a labor of love in the community where Marshall grew up. As God began to bring clarity to Crossover’s vision for its community, Pastor Philip assumed the role as lead pastor. In 2012 Crossover officially began its efforts to make an impact in the community beyond Sunday mornings through Crossover Community Impact, Inc. (CCI). CCI has enabled Crossover to take a more comprehensive approach to serving north Tulsa as Crossover seeks to become a church that makes disciples who make disciples. CCI has enabled Crossover to serve north Tulsa through youth sports, education, health care, housing, and economic development.
The 2012 Crossover Lions tackle football team marked the beginning of a youth sports program that would not only produce champions on the field but also committed to developing champions in life. In 2013 the Crossover Kids (formerly known as IMPACT Kids) After-School Program hired its first crop of StreetLeaders (high school students) to not only tutor Hawthorne Elementary students and to help them with their homework but to be challenged to be role models as our StreetLeaders got ready for their next step in life. In 2014 Crossover Health Services opened its doors to provide access to high-quality medical care in our community. 2015 sparked the beginning of the Crossover Development Companies efforts to build and remodel homes in the Hawthorne Neighborhood. And in 2017 Crossover Prep, an all-boy, tuition-free private middle and high school, started with its first group of 7th graders.

At the center of all of these efforts is the same love for north Tulsa that Crossover started with in 2006. A love that drives Crossover’s leadership and members to faithfully strive to see more and more people in our community impacted by the transformational power of the gospel.
