Worship Arts Ministry Application

Thank you for your interest in the worship arts ministry!
Please carefully read the information below.

Expectations for serving as a member of the Worship Arts Ministry Team:
1. We value humility and willingness to serve wherever you may be needed.
2. Our team members are expected to show a high level of commitment. This includes practicing on your own, being prepared, and being on time to mid-week rehearsals & Sunday morning run-throughs. We value letting your "yes be yes".
3. You must be an active member of Crossover Bible Church to serve in the worship arts ministry. If you are currently pursuing membership, please let us know where you are in the process.

What is the Worship Arts Ministry looking for?
1. You do not have to be a professional singer, musician, or technician to serve on our ministry team. We look for people who have a daily, abiding relationship with Jesus, a solid grasp of their skill, and already have a good general knowledge of their craft.
2. We value the willingness to continue to grow in our particular skills.
3. Our application process is designed to look for the right fit for our ministry teams. There are opportunities to serve as a singer, musician, or A/V technician (running sound and/or graphics).

What is the process for Worship Arts Ministry Applicants?
1. Complete the "Ministry Teams Application" and upload your application video.
See requirements for an application video below. Application videos are reviewed during the first week of each month.
2. Sample Rehearsal:
Once we receive your application form and video, we will invite you to a sample rehearsal. This will be an opportunity for the worship arts ministry team to hear you play/sing and an opportunity for you to ask any questions.
3. Next Steps:
We will contact you within 2-3 weeks after your sample rehearsal to follow up regarding next steps.
4. Participate in a Worship Arts Ministry Onboarding Meeting:
Once an invitation to join the music ministry team has been given, you must attend one of the onboarding meetings before being scheduled to serve with the team. This meeting is designed to fully explain the spiritual, character, dedication, and skill requirements expected of anyone who wants to serve on the worship arts ministry team at Crossover Bible Church.
5. Serve: Begin to serve on the worship arts ministry team!

What are the requirements for an Application Video?
1. Your video must be current (filmed within the last week).
2. This does not need to be a highly produced video. A quick, 30-second video recorded on your phone is great!
3. We must be able to see and hear you sing and/or play your instrument. Begin the video by telling us your name and what song you will be playing/singing.
